Update

So I havent posted in a while and Im sure not many people follow this but maybe I am writing this for me and to get my thoughts out of my head and onto something. This year so far a close friend passed away in May. It came as a complete shock to me and very unexpected. I miss her everyday. I see my friend through everything. I know she has been here with me everyday.. Recently we had a celebration for Jessica. I knew a lot of people wouldnt be able to show up but i was really dissappointed in how many people didnt come or even want to participate. It just makes me sad that she is our friend and not everyone wanted to remember her the same way. I understand that graduation was today and family members came in town but Jess was supposed to graduate today with us. She has been in our lives and touched us more than once in her Jessica way and it is just sad to think that we were too busy to take an hour out of our day to celebrate her life.

New Year's Resolution

So it has been a long time since I've been on and posted something. I know not too many people look on this but it is whatever. So I decided that I would give up sweets for lent. And let's just talk! It has been incredibly hard! I eat a lot of fruit and veggies in general but since taking sweets out I have eaten a lot more fruit. My New Year's Resolution is that I am giving up soda. BTW that is hard as well! I still drink tea-1/2 and 1/2 or unsweetened tea with a packet of sugar. I still exercise and thus far have lost 8lbs. only x amount more to go! I think I am going to start posting pictures of what I have cooked so that whoever you are that reads this will want to try and give the recipe. Or I can have a mental note of this later on!! Well that is all I have so far!

School starts again

So I havent been on in a while. School started a couple days ago and Im in my block and it's a little overwhelming! Im excited for field study hours to start and at the same time a bit nervous. I need to buy my books of course. :( I need to sign up for my praxis 2 but dont have the money for it just yet.. :( sad times. I have until Feb 1st to do this and Id like to do that before hand so that I dont get screwed out of taking this test and graduating on time. On another note I am currently reading The Lovely Bones book and LOVE it!! I cannot wait to go see the movie. I cannot wait to get paid again.. I need to find a 2nd job so that I can have money and not worry about everything. I have also started a diet, eating healthier, portion control, and exercise. well see how that goes.

So I haven't written in a couple days and a few things have happened.

1. it is now 2010!! HAPPY NEW YEAR!! it's crazy that it is now 2010. I rang in the new year with my sister and partied on the 1st with a couple friends from work. We ended up getting into a heated debate about religion at like 1am and last for a couple hours. Let me just tell you that was awkward! Religion in itself is already a touchy subject, add a lil alcohol to that and it makes it worse! I dont know it was ridiculous and I was ready for the convo to be over. A bunch of heads butting basically and different opinions. Other than that it was good.
2. My heart has been skipping beats lately. The past week has been crazy! My heart skip beats every so often but this past week my heart has skipped beats like woah. yesterday it happened like 10times in less than 5 min. it was back to back. Today it's happened about 10x and 3x within 5min. It's driving me nuts! When your heart skips a beat it makes you stop what youre doing and stop breathing for a second and kinda hurts. Im not sure if I should ignore it or go get it checked out.

JC trip

So I went to Johnson City today with my sister and Grandpa.. First I picked up my car in the Knoxville shop that she was currently sitting in for the past week. That shop managed to still have the radiator (good news for me!) so I could try and salvage some of my money back. THe total cos was $435.00 (Whew.. so expensive!!) and completely ridiculous! I expect a brand new radiator to last a little longer than 1.5 years! Well anyway I get to JC and drop off Lauren at the apt so she can clean up the apt a little. Well Grandpa and I go to Gray where this particular place is at (not naming names.. but so far havent been impressed) and say listen, I talked to someone last Monday about my car that got fixed in Knoxville that was still under warranty. Well this place would not suggest anything about what to do about getting my car from Knoxville to Johnson City. So I got it fixed in Knoxville... what choice did I have? Anyway I take the radiator to Gray and the guy is rude for one, and two he's just like you need to take it to the place that we bought the radiator. Well this place, well known, was very nice and reimbursed me for the radiator, $285-not bad! So I go over to the automotive place and say listen, I think it would be fair if you reimbursed me for labor considering the radiator is still under warranty, I was reimbursed for the radiator and now $150 for labor costs is what is left. Well the guy looks at me and is like we dont cover that. We cover for 6months or 6000 miles. Now HOW FAIR IS THAT?!?!?! None at all!!! So someone whill be getting a nasty letter from me and complaint to corporate.

THat was my frustration for the day. Other than that I am sitting in Knoxville on my parents bed watching The Marine with John Cena. THat man is hot! I would have his babies! I have a bruised ring finger knuckle.. :( I tripped and fell and landed on my fist and now I have a blue finger.. Its a lil miserable but feels a lot better today than yesterday. But Im glad its not broken, I can still move my finger-even pop it. Well I am about to get off here and go see a good friend, Ericka! Im excited about this mess! But that also means I have to turn off my future husband, John Cena and get in my cold car and go... What a sad downside.. :( Oh well I'll be ok with it!

Trying something new

So Hi everyone! My name is Stacy! I go to school at ETSU and am a Super Senior. I will graduate December 2010 if all goes well. And after that...? Hopefully I will be teaching. I want to be a teacher, early elementary education. THis is my first time blogging. I have a few friends who do this and like to catch up in their lives so I thought I would give it a try.

Lets see... the end of the semester was crazy!! I came home to Knoxville, my car died-radiator leak... Fun times not!! What sucked even more was that I had this problem fixed a year ago and its broken.. So I call the place in JC and was like hey whats up? Do I still have a warranty. THey say yes but of course their company is not affiliated with any of the companies in Knoxville. So I say "will you tow it up there then?" they respond by saying no that will cost a lot of money. I respond with .... so I pay for the damage and you write me a check? Of course that's a big hell no! I was like well what do you suggest I do? THe guy on the other line was just like hmm.. IDK? awesome. So I am now paying $400 to fix the radiator when it is under warranty. I pick up the car on Monday and will have them do a write up of what went wrong, maybe if they have the radiator still take it and then drive to JC and show them and demand to be repaid or going to complain about the company. My poor car has been through so much! On Halloween I got t-boned and then the week before school ended, a giant pine tree completely uprooted itself and landed on my car and my neighbors cars at my apartment complex. 2 giant dents later needless to say my landlords insurance has yet to call about damages and my car still has 2 giant dents... Awesome! My car has some bad karma going right now..

So last Friday I got a call from my dad saying you need to come home now. (I was in JC laying around, not planning to come home til Sunday) Well we had a family emergency. My grandmother has not been doing well and so all the family was driving to Concordia, MO to go see her before she passed away. Luckily everyone but one of my cousins made it there in time to see her alive. She died Sunday afternoon, we had the wake (i think that's right) on Tuesday night and the Funeral Wednesday afternoon. And then we drove home Thursday, xmas eve. The drive took forever!! It was great to see my mom's side of the family and some of my dad's side during the holidays... I just wish it was under different circumstances. Needless to say the last few weeks have been insane!! Christmas was good! But here is the end of my very first blog!!
